Maternity shoots
Maternity shoots don't have to all look the same! As with any other shoot it's about capturing who you are at a special time in your life. That doesn't mean conforming to traditional maternity poses and clothes, you do you - it's the only way!
Where do you start?
As with most of my shoots, it starts with planning out looks on a mood board.
Becky had some definite looks in mind for her shoot so we started sharing ideas on a moodboard and found we were on the same page with ideas for looks and style.
The Shoot
The shoot is very much a shared experience, I would definitely recommend bringing someone close with you.
Becky came with several people, most importantly her partner. I think the shoot should be a memorable experience and not just a means to an end, the photos should be a stunning reminder of a special event.
Relax
It's important for you to feel relaxed and at ease - another reason it might help to have someone close with you.
Music is always important in the studio - you can always bring a play list with you to help you feel inspired and to have a soundtrack for your special moment.
1st shoot
This is your first shoot with your baby and hopefully their first shoot with me. I'm delighted to say that Becky has been back for another shoot with her delightful baby girl since giving birth and it was an absolute pleasure!
