It was Emma's idea. She was hesitant about showing her tummy as many women are who bear the marks of carrying children. She thought it would be a powerful thing to pose with her daughter, who has no such qualms, to make a point that those scars that brought forth life should be a point of pride.
These two had such a laugh on the shoot it descended into chaos and became a really fun Mother and Daughter shoot which really shows their strong bond and sense of fun. I think there is something very powerful in these images.
